Adult & Travel VaccinationsPrevention of tetanus needs a booster after ten years.
Travel Vaccinations can be arranged at the surgery with the practice nurse.
Please come in and fill in a travel vaccination questionnaire and return it to the surgery. Ring after 1 week to see what vaccinations are needed. If any are needed, make an appointment for 4 weeks prior to travel. Goto top Child Health & Immunisations

Both the Doctor and Nurse are qualified and able to discuss this with you. Also available is counselling about sterilisation and pre-pregnancy advice.

Full details may be taken so doctor can assess the urgency of the call.

Care throughout your pregnancy is available at the surgery. Once there is a confirmation of your pregnancy you will be asked to make an appointment with the midwifery team.
Ante-natal checks will be made with doctor by appointment. Post-natal examination will also be made by appointment 8 weeks after delivery. Goto top Minor SurgeryAn appointment can be arranged after the problem has been assed by doctor. This includes some type of injections. E.g. For Tennis Elbow, as well as the removal of "Lumps and Bumps" under local anaesthetic. Goto top PhysiotheraphyAll medical staff can refer you for physiotheraphy if appropriate. Goto top PodiatryThere are regular podiatry sessions at the surgery but referal is made by the medical and nursing staff. Goto top PrescriptionsMany medical conditions are stable over long periods, so that a doctor may authorise repeat prescriptions between checks on your progress.
All the prescribing information is stored on computer, and the counterfoil of each prescription shows all the long term medicines you take.
To request a repeat prescription simply bring the counterfoil in to the surgery and tick what you would like or telephone 270033 after 10am on a morning and read the medicine to the secretary. Please remember to order your prescription before you run out of medicine as the prescription will be ready in two working days [Excluding bank holidays and weekends].

All women aged between 25 and 60 should have regular cervical smears, usually every three to five years. Both men and women should have their blood pressure measured, urine checked for sugar and protein, and "risk-factors" assessed every three years as well. All newly registered patients are offered these checks routinely and reminders are sent for cervical smears. Goto top
